Day 1: Arrival in Paro and Transfer to Thimphu
- Arrive at Paro International Airport and meet your guide before driving to Thimphu in approximately one and a half hours.
- Stop at Tachog Lhakhang Bridge, a historic iron chain bridge along the route.
- Visit Memorial Chorten, a sacred stupa dedicated to Bhutan’s third king.
- Explore Buddha Dordenma, a massive golden Buddha statue offering panoramic views of the city.
- Visit Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body.
Stay overnight in Thimphu.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
- Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Thimphu.
- Explore Motithang Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s unique national animal, the Takin.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass
- Drive to Dochula Pass at 3,100 metres and stop at a stunning viewpoint with 108 stupas.
- Visit Punakha Dzong, a breathtaking fortress at the confluence of two rivers.
- Walk across Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge.
- Visit Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Fertility Temple associated with the Divine Madman.

Day 4: Punakha to Phobjikha Valley
- Drive to Phobjikha Valley in approximately two and a half hours, a pristine glacial valley known for Black Necked Cranes during winter months.
- Visit Gangtey Monastery, a beautiful seventeenth century monastery overlooking the valley.
- Enjoy a nature trail hike through the scenic landscapes of Phobjikha.
- Experience a farmhouse visit and interact with local residents.

- Drive back to Paro with a stop in Wangdue town along the way.

- Hike to Paro Taktsang, also known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff with a round trip of approximately four to five hours.

- Visit Drukgyel Dzong ruins, a historic site with stunning mountain views.
- Take part in an optional farmhouse visit with a traditional Bhutanese meal and cultural experience.
