Day 1: Santa Cruz or Vallegrande to La Higuera – History and Scenic Transfer
- Optional pick up at 6:00 AM from your hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra or from Viru Viru International Airport and begin a 6 hour scenic journey towards the valleys of Santa Cruz.
- Alternative meeting at 6:00 AM at Plaza 26 de Enero for travellers already in Vallegrande.
- Visit Che’s Memorial where Che Guevara’s body remained hidden for 30 years.
- Visit Tania and Guerrillas’ Grave, the resting place of the combatants and a space for silent reflection.
- Explore Señor de Malta Hospital and see the laundry room converted into a morgue where Che was washed and photographed for the last time, preserving real testimonies.
- Visit Che's Route Museum to see objects, weapons, and documents narrating the guerrilla movement.
- Visit the Archaeological Museum for insight into the cultural roots of the region.
- Travel 61 km along a scenic mountain route crossing rugged Andean landscapes towards La Higuera.
Overnight in La Higuera in a cosy Country House with hot shower and peaceful countryside surroundings before the next day trek.

Day 2: La Higuera and Quebrada del Churo – The Final Chapter
- After breakfast, visit the rural schoolhouse in La Higuera where Che spent his last hours and speak with local residents who preserve the oral memory of October 1967.
- Begin guided trekking of approximately 3 to 5 hours descending into Quebrada del Churo, the exact canyon where the capture occurred after his last combat, offering both a physical and spiritual experience.
- Visit Abra del Batán, a real scenario of combats and skirmishes between the guerrilla and the Bolivian army.
- Stop at Abra del Picacho, a key transit and observation point used by the guerrilla before descending to La Higuera.
- Visit the Telegraph Operator’s House, the central communications hub during the conflict.
- Return to Vallegrande to conclude the expedition.
