Itinerary

1. Day 01: Dhaka Arrival and City Tour

   • Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to hotel for check-in.
   • If time permits, visit New Dhaka landmarks including Parliament House, Curzon Hall, Korail slum, Amin Bazar load and unload activities.

   Overnight at Hotel Studio 23.

2. Day 02: Dhaka Full Day City Tour and Overnight Cruise to Barisal

   • Early breakfast at hotel.
   • Explore modern Dhaka with European-influenced architecture and museums.
   • Visit Old Dhaka including Mughal imperial palace fort, historic mosques, and heritage buildings left by traders.
   • Visit Pink Palace (Ahsan Manzil), residence of Dhaka Nawab aristocracy on the bank of the Buriganga River.
   • Evening boarding on rocket steamer or luxury ship for overnight cruise to Barisal.

   Overnight in semi-VIP room onboard.

3. Day 03: Barisal Backwater Cruise, Floating Markets and Bagerhat UNESCO Sites

   • Early morning arrival in Barisal located in the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna river basin.
   • Engine boat cruise through backwaters to floating markets where farmers sell grains by canoe boats.
   • Afternoon visit to Bagerhat (historic Khalifatabad city of Khan Jahan Ali, 15th century Sultanate period).
   • Explore Sixty Dome Mosque and mausoleum complex with water reservoirs.
   • Continue to Mongla and board private Sundarbans boat.

   Overnight onboard at Joymoni boat rooms.

4. Day 04: Mongla to Kachikhali Wildlife Sanctuary

   • Early morning cruise toward Kachikhali forest and Tiger Point (7 to 8 hours journey).
   • Possible wildlife sightings including crocodiles, deer herds, birds of prey, and Royal Bengal Tiger.
   • Afternoon canal cruise for close wildlife viewing (terrestrial and aquatic species).
   • Explore mangrove biodiversity ecosystem.

5. Day 05: Kachikhali and Katka Wildlife Expeditions

   • Morning exploration of Kachikhali wildlife viewpoint.
   • Adventure trail walk from Kachikhali to Katka (up to 8 km) through dense forest and silvery beach along the Bay of Bengal.
   • Return to boat for lunch at Katka.
   • Afternoon nature trek at Tiger Point where deer and monkeys inhabit keora forests.
   • Sunset creek cruise for close wildlife observation.
   • Evening return cruise to Herbaria and BBQ dinner onboard.

6. Day 06: Dolphin Watch, Fisherman Village and Khulna

   • Morning canal boat trip after breakfast.
   • Visit fisherman village and dolphin watching excursion.
   • Afternoon drive to Khulna.

   Overnight at City Inn or similar hotel.

7. Day 07: Khulna to Rajshahi Train Journey and Museum Visit

   • Morning train journey from Khulna to Rajshahi.
   • Check-in and lunch at hotel.
   • Visit Varendra Research Museum showcasing terracotta figurines, Buddhist and Hindu Brahmanical manuscripts and artefacts.
   • Evening boat trip on Padma River to Cattle Island and visit silk industries.
   • Optional visit to Puthia Temple Town with numerous temples.
   • Visit Bagha Mosque, terracotta arched medieval Islamic heritage site.

   Overnight at Hotel Grand Riverview (4-star).

8. Day 08: Paharpur Somapura Mahavihara UNESCO Site

   • Early morning drive to Paharpur.
   • En route visit Kushumba stone-built mosque.
   • Visit Somapura Mahavihara (8th century Buddhist monastery built by Pala rulers).
   • Continue to Bogra.
   • Visit Mahasthan archaeological museum and ancient walled city (3rd century BCE).
   • Explore Govinda Temple, Bhairagir Vita ruins, Porshuram Palace ruins, Jiatkunda.
   • Visit Vashu Vihara monastery and Gokul Medh.
   • Optional visit to Jagaddal Vihara near Jaipurhat.

   Overnight in Bogra.

9. Day 09: Bogra to Dhaka via Jamuna Char Village

   • Breakfast at hotel.
   • Drive toward Dhaka.
   • Visit Jamuna River char village to experience river life.
   • Visit Novo Ratna Temple (replica of Kantajew Temple of Dinajpur).
   • Continue drive to Dhaka.
   • Dinner at highway restaurant.

   Overnight in Dhaka (Grand Dhaka Hotel near airport).

10. Day 10: Departure Dhaka

    • Airport transfer.

    • End of World Heritage Tour.
