Taamo means "to travel" in Wolof.We are a research collective and the sister company to Taamo Africa, dedicated to uncovering and sharing the African-centric history of the Caribbean.

Our journeys trace the full arc of the diaspora: from the first African arrivals through the struggle for freedom, to the vibrant resilience and celebration of Black culture that defines the Caribbean today.We move beyond the standard narrative, connecting travelers with scholars, community elders, and culture-bearers.

We offer immersive experiences rooted in deep research—not just a tour, but a meaningful homecoming to a story of survival, strength, and celebration.
