Photogenic Buenos Aires from Palermo to La Boca

  • I will pick you up at the cruise port, hotels in Buenos Aires city, or AEP domestic airport. Airport: EZE International Airport has an extra charge.
  • Visit the Rose Garden of Palermo. We will appreciate one of the most beautiful rose gardens in the world. We will walk in the area, relaxing and enjoying the different views that can be seen from this green area. The Rose Garden is open Tuesday through Sunday.
  • Visit Hipódromo de Palermo. It is an iconic building of Buenos Aires with a considerable racetrack that reflects Argentina's passion for horses.
  • Visit Lago de Regatas and River Plate Stadium. Inside a huge green area of Buenos Aires city, this artificial lake was the venue for the Youth Olympic Games. Football and Argentina are synonyms. With your local guide, you will be introduced to this atmosphere when passing in front of the place where Argentina won its first World Cup in 1978.
  • Visit Parque de la Memoria. We will stop at Parque de la Memoria to look at the River Plate, the widest river in the world, and the city skyline, and to get in touch with the history behind the park. The park, whose translation is "Memory Park," is dedicated to the victims who disappeared during the military dictatorship that took place in Argentina from 1976 to 1983.
  • Marvel at Costanera Norte and the Planetarium. We will follow the north coastline of the River Plate and drive next to the Galileo Galilei Planetarium, an amazing building that looks like a spaceship landed in the middle of the park.
  • See the Japanese Garden. We will be able to appreciate the biggest Japanese garden outside of Japan.
  • Visit Recoleta and Alvear Avenue. We will visit the world-famous Recoleta Cemetery. Your local guide will take you through the history, architecture, and stories behind the walls... Entrance to the cemetery is not included in the tour price and must be paid with a credit card at the cemetery.
  • Afterwards, we will take Alvear Avenue, one of the most famous and fanciest avenues of Buenos Aires, with outstanding French-style architecture.
  • Explore San Martín Square. San Martín Square is the heart of the Retiro neighbourhood. Your local guide will show you some amazing buildings that are part of the city's heritage, including the Foreign Affairs Office, the Kavanagh Building, the National Park Administration Building, and the Military Club. You will also see the end of the famous Florida Street.
  • Visit Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world. While driving, you can admire the Colón Theatre building and the Obelisk of Buenos Aires, an iconic monument in República Square.
  • Visit Plaza de Mayo. You will discover why Plaza de Mayo has been the political centre of Buenos Aires city and Argentina since colonial times. The square holds the Cabildo, the old town hall where the revolution started, and the Casa Rosada, the presidential house. The Cathedral of Buenos Aires, which used to be Pope Francis' church, is also located here. Note: sometimes, it is difficult to stop in this area due to security measures from the Presidential Guard.
  • See Puerto Madero. The newest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires has modern buildings, parks, and plenty of bars and restaurants. Your guide will drive you through it and explain how it developed.
  • Visit La Boca, the most traditional and bohemian neighbourhood in Buenos Aires. Your local guide will tell you about the history of the colourful houses and the famous Caminito Street.
  • More surprises on our way back!
  • On our way back, we will visit:
    • San Telmo, one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city, famous for its Sunday market, tango places, and bars.
    • Congreso. The Congress is a magnificent building in front of a beautiful park, surrounded by iconic Buenos Aires buildings such as Palacio Barolo and Confitería El Molino.
    • El Ateneo Grand Splendid, one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. It is a worthy stop to take pictures and admire the architecture.
    • Palacio de Aguas Corrientes, the so-called Palacio de las Aguas, was the water plant of 1887. It is an astonishing building that you would never guess was used for water treatment and distribution. With your guide, you will find out why it is located there and why it is so fancy.
