Day 01

Lake Argentino Cruise to Upsala and Spegazzini Glaciers

• Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location in El Calafate and begin the tour.
• Navigate the northern arm of Lake Argentino to visit the Upsala Glacier, one of the largest, and the Spegazzini Glacier, the highest, entering the bays they form. You will also navigate through the ice floe, located 20 km from the Upsala Glacier, which offers spectacular views. The navigation takes place among spectacular icebergs of enormous size and varied forms.
• Reach the landing at Spegazzini Base, where you will begin a walk through the forest until you arrive at the Spegazzini Refuge.
• Have lunch or take a short walk through the Patagonian Andean forest. (Not included)
• Head back to Puerto Punta Bandera.

• Hotel pick-up is available from most centrally located El Calafate hotels. Please arrange pick-up from your hotel or a nearby location when you book this tour.
• It is recommended to bring a waterproof jacket even when the weather is good in town because the park is 80 kilometres away.
• The weather can vary throughout the day, and it may rain on days that start sunny and turn cold on days that start warm, so it is recommended to wear layers to accommodate these fluctuations.
