Perito Moreno Glacier and Los Glaciares National Park
- Meet your tour guide and depart at 09:00 am from your accommodation to begin the Perito Moreno Glacier excursion, accompanied throughout the journey by a bilingual guide from Los Glaciares National Park.
- Travel 80 km to the walkways in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
- As the tour begins, you will see Argentino Lake and Redonda Bay to the right of the road. During the first 50 km, the Patagonian steppe dominates the landscape. Once inside Los Glaciares National Park, tree vegetation becomes predominant, mostly belonging to the Nothofagus family, including Lengas, Ñires, and Coihues de Magallanes.
- Stop to take panoramic photos and enjoy your first views of the Moreno Glacier.
- Upon arrival, explore the catwalk area, where the guide will explain the different circuit options available.
- Enjoy a walk on the catwalks, which is free. The guide will accompany the group to the main balcony and remain available to assist. The walkways extend for 5 km and are made up of stairways that descend to a point about 300 meters from the front of the glacier. You can combine this tour with a boat ride. During the 1-hour navigation, you will sail through the Rich Branch of Lake Argentino at a distance of 150 meters from the glacier's south face.
- Return to your hotel in El Calafate city centre.
Note: Please note that you must pay the entrance fee to the Park. The guide will also explain the rules of behaviour within the National Park.
