Begin the day with visit to West Lake (freshwater lake), Trấn Quốc Pagoda (Buddhist temple), Quan Thanh Temple and Ba Dinh square. The Ba Đình Square was named after the Ba Đình Uprising, an anti-French rebellion that had occurred in Vietnam from 1886–1887.

Visit the Vietnam Military History Museum. Inside the museum grounds, you can see the Flag Tower of Hanoi. However, the

Flag tower is closed on Monday & Friday. So as as alternative, one can choose the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Vietnam Museum of Ethnology or the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. 

Stop on The Phung Hung mural street. A must see place, one can see beautiful mural paintings on Phung Hung streets. You can learn a lot about Hanoi's past and history dating back to 1000 years, from these paintings. 

Proceed to the Long Bien Bridge and Quan Chuong Gate. Long Bien bridge is actually a historic cantilever bridge on the Red River and connects two districts, Hoan Kiem and Long Bien in Hanoi city. The Quan Chuong gate is a historical gate with architecture styles of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Go for a one hour cycling tour (Hanoi cyclo) in Hanoi Old Quarter area (if interested). 

Transfer back to the hotel.
