Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Arrival in Cairo

   • Meet your tour guide at Cairo airport followed by a transfer to your hotel.

   Overnight in Cairo.

2. Day 2 - Cairo Highlights Visit

   • Visit the great pyramids, Cheops, Chephren and Mykerions. Cheops is the most colossal ever built.

   • See the Sphinx, which is a huge funeral complex guarded by the legendary lion body with the face of king Chephren.

   • Continue to the Step Pyramid of Zoser, which is considered to be the oldest major stone structure worldwide.

   • Stop for a scrumptious lunch at a local restaurant.

   • Go to Memphis, which was once the first capital of Egypt and the centre of rule and culture for more than 3000 years, founded by King Menes.

   • See the outstanding statue of king Ramses the 2nd.

   Overnight stay in a hotel in Cairo.

3. Day 3 - Continue Cairo Sightseeing

   • Have a hearty breakfast meal.
   • Enjoy a spiritual day tour to the splendid Islamic and Coptic sites in Cairo.
   • See the Saladin Citadel where Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque is situated.
   • Proceed to the popular Al Gawhara palace, built by Mamluks and Ottomans.
   • Visit the Egyptian Museum, which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period and displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art, considered the most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world.
   • Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

4. Day 4 - Alexandria Highlights Visit

   • Head to Alexandria to explore its exquisite sites.
   • Visit Pompey's Pillar, constructed in honour of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century.
   • Head to the Catacombs, which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock.
   • Have scrumptious lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria.
   • Proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel, which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria.
   • Go to  Bibliotheca Alexandrina, which is a major library and cultural centre.
   • Drive back to your hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.

5. Day 5 - Final Departure

   • Transfer to the airport post-breakfast for your journey onwards.
