Day 1: Nairobi to Nanyuki expand_more
Drive to Nanyuki town and check-in to a budget hotel for lunch.
Have lunch and spend the rest of the day and night acclimatising.
Organize any gear you may require for the trek.
Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Nanyuki to Old Moses Camp expand_more
Have breakfast and get transferred to the Sirimon Gate, from where the climbing starts.
Walk through the rainforest for 9km with lunch en route. (4 hours)
Reach the first Mountain Hut- Old Moses Camp, which is 3,300 m above sea level. This hike is very essential for acclimatisation and quite educative as far as the vegetation is concerned.
Have dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3: Old Moses Camp to Shipton Camp expand_more
Have breakfast at Old Moses.
Continue climbing via Mackinder’s Valley to Shipton Hut (4,200 m). Have lunch on the way. (6.5 hours)
Have dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4:: Shipton Hut to Point Lenana to Mackinder’s Camp expand_more
Wake up at 02:30 and climb to point Lenana (4,985 m).
See Mt. Kilimanjaro in the South, Mt. Elgon to the West and the Indian Ocean to the East.
Descend down to Mackinder’s Camp for the main breakfast.
Relax for some time and descend to Met Station Camp, where you will also have your lunch.

Day 5: Mackinder’s Camp to Met Station to Nairobi expand_more
Have breakfast and descend to Met Station in roughly 3 hours.
Continue to descend the last bit of the mountain to Naro Moru Main Gate for lunch.
Take a transfer vehicle at the gate for a short drive to Naro Moru town and on to Nairobi.
