Day 1: Kigali expand_more
- Pick up from Kigali international airport and ends at Kigali international airport.
- Drive from Kigali towards the Congo border.
- Arrive at Grande Barriere border and cross directly to DRC. The tourism office is conveniently located at the border on the Congo side.
- After checking in, walk a bit or drive some 2 minutes to Linda Hotel near the lake Kivu shores.

Day 2: Ascending Nyiragongo volcano expand_more
After breakfast, at around 8 am, drive toward Virunga National Park in the north of the city.
Just at the entrance of the Park, at Kibati station is the Volcano hiking starting point.
Start ascending at 10 am with the rest of the climbing group.
Reach the summit at around 5 pm when the crater starts getting red.
Spend the whole evening near the crater rim before retiring to your shelter, some 5 meters away.

Day 3: Descend & Transfer to your next destination expand_more
Early morning, at around 6 am, start descending back to Kibati station.
Once there, make a short comment about your experience and transfer back to the Rwanda border and pass by the Lake Kivu shores for short relaxation.
Drive back to Kigali from where you can decide to fly back or stay for more night.
