Zanzibar
The coastal land of black people who speak Swahili, Zanzibar derived from two words; Zang, a Persian word meaning Black and Bar, an Arabian word meaning Land.
Zanzibar is the combination of different islands covered by two large islands which are Unguja as the largest and Pemba as the second-largest island. Among those islands which are smaller compared to those two, only five of them have people living on those islands, and the remaining islands are only for the tourism industry and conservation. The population is around one million people.
Zanzibar is part of the United Republic of Tanzania. The union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar was taken part in 1964 immediately after Zanzibar acquired its independence from Arabs through the revolution in the same year.
Politically; it is the country whereby the mindset of their people is somehow conquered with politics especially during the election. Before 2010 this country during the election it was not a good place to visit, because of a lot of misunderstanding between political parties. And because politics inside peoples hearts, there was a lot of riots. But in 2020, these political parties came into an agreement to share powers in the government, so from that moment the country become peace and we have a fair election now as every party satisfied with the results as they are appearing in the government.
The economy of this country depends on tourism for more than sixty percent and followed by agriculture especially spices and fruits and fishing activities. Employment is still low.
Zanzibar people still maintain their culture in large portion; they are very friendly people who love to share their happiness and struggling with other people, so they live in peace and harmony.
