Tulum is a small archaeological zone that can be travelled in 2 hours; the idea is to combine it with a place to swim, for example, a sacred cenote, there are many near Tulum, the guided tour lasts no more than 40 minutes, and then you will have time to take photos on your own, there is also a shopping area to buy souvenirs, throughout the year the weather is very favourable, that is, the heat predominates, which is ideal for practising water activities, the rainy season is between September and November.
There is a beach in Tulum, but most of the time, access is restricted as there is a lot of waves, and it is dangerous. However, there are beaches 10 minutes away that are worth visiting.
