Ethiopia is a country in the northeastern part of Africa, known as the Horn of Africa. Along its borders is Eritrea to the north, Djibouti to the northeast, the de facto state of Somaliland and Somalia to the east, Kenya to the south, South Sudan to the west and Sudan to the northwest. The capital and largest city are Addis Ababa. The country also houses the East African Rift that splits the country into the Nubian and Somali tectonic plates.


Ethiopia is rich in history and natural resources. It has lots of both developed and hotspot destinations and is still abundant and untouched potentially for developing various types of tourism. In turn that satisfies the tourists' heterogeneous interest and brings economic development to the country as a whole.


The country has a glorious history and outstanding natural beauty that include the two extremes, Simien mountains and Denakil Depression, the highest and the lowest points respectively. Which became the home for much of the endemic fauna and flora in east Africa. For instance, Walia ibex, Ethiopian wolf, Mountain Nyala, Gelada baboon, Wild Ass and extra are of best examples. 


Besides, it is one of the countries where an early state formation was discovered with the reflection of the material and human culture evidence of historical sites like pre-Axumite, Axum, Lalibela and Gondar shared similar archaeological evidence that magnifies its ancient civilization. Therefore, the northern circuit is quite rich in historical and natural attractions that will be served as eye-catching and hotspot destinations for existing and potential tourists in Ethiopia.
