I worked as a secondary school teacher for many years. I started doing stand up comedy in 2004 and have since performed many shows about Scottish history and culture. I've been invited to perform for Scottish societies around the world and ambassadors in Rome, Jordan, UAE and more.
Since then I've performed on three continents and two hemispheres. I've performed each year at the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival. My first show was all about physics. I know, but trust me there were jokes. After that each year, I performed shows about Scottish history and culture. In 2017, I performed a show called Macbeth without Shakespeare Bollocks. It was about the real historical figure Macbeth, rather than the Shakespeare play. I realised that I should take people to the very places Macbeth walked and tell his story.
Since I started tour guiding in 2018 I've been telling people about much more than Macbeth. I've shown people all over the country from Hadrian's Wall to the Highlands. It's been my pleasure to meet people from all over the world and show them the country I love. I've shown them stunning views, told the sad stories from our history, taken them on boat trips and showed them where to get the best cream scones. Can I take you and show you too?
