Conquering the mammoth Trango Towers

Trango Towers are situated in the north of Pakistan in Gilgit Baltistan. Trango towers are the combination of rocks snow gullies and vertical limits. This mountain famjam has some impressive and extremely difficult rocky towers on earth. A climb here is considered world's hardest mountain climb. They are a part of Baltoro Muztagh, it is a sub range of Karakoram ranges. It has an altitude of 6286 m. It is considered a type of Alpine Big Wall. Trango towers have Trango Glaciers on its west and the Dunge Glacier on the east.

 A fascinating base jump story from the Trango towers: 


On August 1992 two Australians Nic Feteris and Glen Singleman climbed Great Trango and then base jumped from 5955 m. They landed on Dunge glacier at 4200 m. This was the highest base jump record at the time. This record was broken by Singleman later.

Pakistani people who climbed  the Trango :-


Trango towers has only been climbed by three Pakistanis till date, namely- Late Sir Imran Junaidi and Late Sir Usman Tariq and Sir Sarwar Khan.

Trango tower is the Pakistan is the most expensive expedition ever. Best time to go is between June to September because its the easiest time to go for summits. It is allowed to camp anywhere on these towers, porters are available easily, and you can find a proper gear for the climb easily.
