Because we are locals we understand the true meaning of experiencing the real flavour of the rich Kenyan culture, this is the reason we set up the cultural excursions for you. Kenya is home to many fascinating tribes. While on safari you have the opportunity to learn first-hand about these ancient cultures by visiting a remote village in the bush. We learn of the tribe’s social system, traditions, customs and place in today’s Kenya. Life in these villages has changed little over the centuries. Mud and thatched huts often house many generations, and we are invited into these homesteads to join the tribe in traditional dances and songs. The warm brilliant smiles of these people are matched by the brilliant colours of the elaborate beads and cloths with which they adorn themselves. This allows you to discover what makes this country so mystical and yet so inviting when you meet friendly people who call it home. Their dignified and hospitable welcome will be a memory long treasured.

Nothing comes as more of a surprise to visitors than the magnificent standard of deluxe accommodations found in the bush. Travellers expect lodge and camp experiences to be enjoyable but never do they expect them to be so luxurious and romantic. We personally select every lodge and camp for its singular beauty, evocative atmosphere and spectacular setting. With elegant architectural designs reminiscent of indigenous village dwellings, our safari lodgings blend harmoniously into the Kenyan landscape and impart a spirit of tranquillity. Our choice and selection of your accommodation ensure that the spirit of adventure follows you wherever you go – and wherever you stay.
Your journey in the bush involves exhilarating days on the trail of Kenyan wildlife, making the quality of your ground transportation of the utmost importance. For that reason, we are pleased to provide only the finest state–of–the–art safari vehicles for your sojourn with us. Soft seats with headrests, big leg space and good suspension combined to make for a very comfortable ride across the Kenyan plains. Every traveller is furthermore assured of a window seat directly under a pop-up roof while in our safari vehicles. Our Safari vehicles are additionally outfitted with cool boxes, stocked with ample bottled water, and carry not more than seven guests.
It is very IMPORTANT to NOTE that for every safari you book with the US, we plant a TREE in your NAME! So far we have planted over 5000 trees!

In essence, going on a safari holiday with RPS means that you are able to directly contribute to the land and wildlife conservation in Kenya. After travelling on safari or tour with us, you will come to appreciate that as the lucky custodians of these beautiful destinations, it is, therefore, our responsibility to conserve their delicate eco-systems and respect the wild animals they’re home to, as well as educate the surrounding communities on how to continue caring for them.
At each of the hotels/lodges and safari destinations, we’ve invested in extensive training to produce expert safari guides and naturalists who are able to give you a deep understanding of each game reserve’s unique qualities and potential future challenges.
We tread lightly, partner with green safari lodges where possible, and apply eco-sensitivity in all that we do. By doing all of this, we genuinely believe that we can help protect threatened ecosystems, endangered species and their precious diversity of wildlife areas. To this effect, we ONLY partner with agents/ lodges that pass the below criteria:
• Helps conserve the surrounding flora and fauna.
• Tries to work with the local community.
• Offers educational interpretive programs to both its employees and tourists about the surrounding natural and cultural environments.
• Uses alternative, sustainable means of water acquisition and reduces water consumption.
• Provides for careful handling and disposal of solid waste and sewage.
• Meets its energy needs through passive design and renewable energy resources.
• Uses traditional building technology and materials wherever possible and combines these with their modern counterparts.
• During construction has minimal impact on the natural environment.
• Blends with the local physical and cultural environment through careful attention to form, landscaping and colour, as well as the use of local traditional architecture.
• Contributes to sustainable local community development through education programs and research.
