At Itanda falls, you can get a real sense of the geography of the Nile river in Uganda. At this juncture, the river splits into two, dividing Central and Eastern Uganda. Itanda Falls is still the Nile non-commercialized, the way it has been for many years. To locals it is considered a sacred site referred to as “Blessed Place” where those living near the falls come to pray at the base of a tree in times of adversity such as when they need a physical miracle.
