The developing trekking routes in Annapurna Region

Due to construction of motorable road in both sides of Annapurna circuit trekking from Besishar to Chame and from Beni to Mustang, the Annapurna circuit trekking has losing it's charm among visitors. The alternative routes has been developed to attract trekkers in the beautiful Annapurna region for trekking. Annapurna conservation area project known as ACAP has been dedicated to the promotion and development of alternative routes.

The alternative routes is under progress which links Beshishar, Ghalegaun, Dudhpokhari, Namun Pass, Timang and Chame. The places like Ghalegaun, Bhujung, Pasgaun that lies in this trail are already famous. Gurung heritage trail has already been developed in this area linking Beshishar, Ghalegaun, Bhujung, Pasgaun, Naghidhar and Pokhara.

Another option would be Bhujung, Dudhpokhari, Sikhlesh and to Pokhara. It takes ten days for Gurung heritage trail trekking. In simillar way a trail has been developed joining Beshishar, Bhulbhule, Nagdi, Bahundanda, Ghermu, Siurung,  Ghanpokhara, Baglungpani, Ghalegaun, Ghanpokhara, Bhujung and Pasgaun. The famous Dudhpokhari of Lamjung is situated at an altitude of four thousand five hundred and seventy five meters. It has been developing with a high Himalayan eco trail which takes eight days for exploration. It is a very scenic and beautiful region of Annapurna region.
