Mariam’s paintings evoke the dramatic, colorful themes of her times. While critics argue the relative strengths of her paintings, her exquisite ceramic plates are universally proclaimed masterpieces. The museum also highlights pottery by Yeranuhi Aslamazyan. Some works of Mariam Arshakovna are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, including "Armenian Still Life" (1955) and "Red Cactus Flower" (1957).
Mariam is also a master of thematic paintings: “The Return of the Hero" - 1943, "Song of the Hero" - 1944, "Mother Heroine" - 1949. All these works are in the Art Gallery of Armenia in Yerevan.
In the difficult years of the Great Patriotic War, painter, graphic artist, theatre artist, painting and drawing teacher Yeranuhi Aslamazyan mobilized forces to create works responsive to the needs of time, works some of which are in the State Tretyakov Gallery now.
