If you don't know about Ijen completely , let me tell you about the sulfur miners; they like super heroes. The sulfur miners are local people or people from the other cities that come to Ijen for work. They usually start working early in the morning around 3 o'clock to take the sulfurs from the bottom and bring all the sulfurs in the basket to the top of ijen. Do you know how much weight of sulfur they carry each time??? its about 65 kg to 90 kg ! I can't imagine how they bring the sulfur from the bottom to the top over a distance of 5 km. They work for the government and the goverment pays really cheap (only @Rp.700/kg) .They are really strong like superheroes from java. Sometimes they are also tour guides as they go down to crater and show the blue fire there.
