Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, is an island country in South Asia near South East India. It has maritime borders with India till northwest and Maldives to the South West.

Sril Lanka, with its diverse landscapes, range from rainforest and arid plains to highlands and sandy beaches. It is famous for its ancient Buddhist ruins, including the 5th century citidel Sigiriya, with its palace and frescos. The city of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka's ancient capital, has many ruins 2000 years old or even more.
