45 minute driving distance from Phonesavanh to Ban Naphia location, west of Phonesavanh, there are 50 families whose occupation was growing rice, which is enough for family. Apart from agriculture they raise animals like cow, buffalo, chicken, duck and sell them to get a small profit for family to manage its daily needs. This village people are also experienced in making spoons from aluminum collected from an exploded bomb. Each day, a family can produce 500-800 spoons and trade them in the local market at a cost of 1000 kip/each. This market is also open for tourists visiting this village, and for them one spoon will cost 10,000 kip/$1,3. Most of local people in Xiengkhouang province use this spoon in their daily life.
