Millions of tourists visiting South Bohemia every year are attracted by its charming countryside, abounding forests and waterways; and historical sights, most of which underwent a thorough renovation in recent years. Those who decide to spend their free days here should know that a Bohemian forest is an ideal place for hiking and cycling in summer; and in winter, they can have a nice time skiing on the hilltops. A little lower to the southwest lies the Lipno- a water reservoir that is a place to spend the classic summer holiday swimming and doing water sports.

Český Krumlov, a town that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a unique place. You will be enchanted by the amazing countryside of the Třebon area with numerous ponds as well as various rarities like the sand dune near Vlkov. The South Bohemian rivers- the Vltava, Luznice and Otava attract thousands of canoeists every year and the towns of Tábor, Písek, Jindřichův Hradec and others are worth visiting too.

You will be enchanted by charming architecture, building style and the rich history of nearly every house in this town. This place also houses the second largest castle in our republic after Prague Castle, the interiors of which are richly equipped with antique furniture.
