I hope everyone of you definitely knows or have heard something about the country of Ethiopia in East Africa. If not, read below to find out the same. 

Ethiopia is a country that is highly endowed with copious cultural, historical and natural tourism resources. The natural resources here are magnificent and peculiar in all of it's forms. You should know that Ethiopia is a country of King Lalibela who had sculpted eleven Rockhewn churches from a single living rock, the promised land of St. Mary who has been mentioned about some 40 times in the Holy Bible due to the belief that it is the home for the Ark of the Covenant. 

Ethiopia is also the land of the Prester John, the Queen Sheba and the solomonic genealogy, the origin of mankind and the oldest people in the world. Further on, Ethiopia is also the land of the coffee special - Arebica, then the land of athlete Abebe Bikela - the first Olympic gold medal winner in barefoot. 

One must know that this country has never been colonized while the rest of Africans are, and there are more than 80 different ethnic groups living in here. This is also the first country from Africa where Christianity and Islam was advocated. This country is also a nation of several festivals, has it's own Alphabet and dialects, calendars, hospitable people and culture. This country shares about 70 % of African mountains and has the largest UNESCO tourist sites in Africa. 

Ethiopia is a diplomatic capital of the continent and has the highest positioned capital city Addis Ababa (2,400 m above sea level). Likewise, there are many more facts about this country that is worth knowing.
