Golden Langur (scientific name: Trachypithecus geei) was named after their gorgeously coloured coats and they are found only in Bhutan and north-eastern India. In Bhutan their distribution are limited to the southern foothills and they are one of the endangered species that are at high risk if not protected well, while their neighbours in India are fighting a tough battle against the human race. Ultimately, the Golden Langur's populations in India are displaced and their habitat distrubed as the result of human greed. The Langur species in Bhutan enjoy a upper hand and they are highly regarded. And they take a special position in the hearts of the Bhutanese people as they are considered as good omen when encountered on the way and poeple are of the belief that their plans for the day would be successful without any obstacles. For now i must urge the reader that let us live our life and let others live their lives happily in the bond of the man-nature relationship.
