Sketching, painting and writing come naturally to me; everything else needs to be taught (seemingly over and over again).
Reflection on one’s own life can be unsettling with many emotions re-surfacing which used cause a debilitating effect on my overall being as my mind prefered to wonder into a direction fraught with danger.
Whilst my life to an outsider is filled with laughter, adventures, friends and family – I was saddened in my more youthful years that my intelligence and insight refused to see the same picture. An interesting notion coming from a professional artist who paints pictures for everyone else; i just couldn't do it for myself. That is youth. .
Today I enjoy relishing in the mundane parts of life, it is a time to gather creative thoughts and reflect. The contrast can often be dramatic when we compare ‘gathering thoughts’ versus ‘emotion discomfort’. However this is where creativity is found.
After allowing an extended time for my overdue sabbatical, which took some courage to accept after fifteen years of back to back exhibitions. It has none the less offered something quite extraodinary. That is a mature and wider look at creativity.
With lifes knowledge,, it is my time to pursue and offer this unique tour for others to explore their uniquness and creativity.
