Places to visit in Malta at night for a new experience.

Rabat.

First one in our list of places to visit in Malta at night. Outside the bastion’s walls of Mdina lies a charming place called Rabat. Located on the northern side of the island, Rabat is quiet and also rich in history. You can go for a walk, have coffee in the cafes, or a bottle of wine with some cheese or dinner. Perhaps even visit the haunted and silent streets of Mdina later on!

Buskett

While we’re on the subject of Rabat, in the nearby areas there are the gardens of Buskett. This is a go-to for picnics during the day. But at night, it offers something different…for the more adventurous. This is the White lady’s territory. So be aware of the ghosts of ladies who haunt the island.

Mellieha

Mellieha is a large village in the northern part of the island. If you go there at night, you can take in the breathtaking views and landscapes. There are sandy beaches, towers to explore and the eerie places surrounding this village.

Three Cities

Places to visit in Malta at night.         Places to visit in Malta at night.

We can’t pick just one so we’re listing the three of them. You can go for a walk in the narrow roads or along the coast. Have dinner or a drink. You can take in the sight of Valletta from across the harbour. Maltese beauty is thrown for good measure with these cities.

Ghajn Tuffieha

More for the summer than for winter. In Ghajn Tuffieha there is a lovely beach with a view called Riviera. The stairs that come along are quite a workout but totally worth it. Don’t feel like sweating just yet, then visit the other nearby sandy beach “Golden Bay” by the Radisson.

Both beaches are busy during the day, as well as the evenings with barbecues in the summer; you can still relax and take in the beauty of this beach or to go and explore the surroundings.

Mqabba

If you want something traditionally Maltese, this village is for you. Mqabba is a village in the southern part of the island. There are a few activities and events during the summer such the ravioli feast but if you really want something remarkable, check out the village feast where you can enjoy the beautiful fireworks. Something the village is known for.

Valletta

Places to visit in Malta at night.

We are not referring to Republic Street or the other busy areas in the capital but the hidden alleyways, the archways, and Maltese balconies peering at you and waiting to be admired.

Mdina

Places to visit in Malta at night.

Lastly in our list of places to visit in Malta at night. Mdina is even more enchanting at night than it is during the day. The high walls and narrow alleys call for mystery on its own. You’ll be in a high chance to encounter one of the many residential ghosts that haunt the city, possibly the !headless bride!!
