Our Great Phi Phi Island Experience!

Phi Phi Islands-Thailand
Breezy Andaman

Tour Guide, Bangkok, Thailand

We had a great experience during our recent trip to Phuket. We booked the tour from a company called Breezy Andaman who is one of the tours/experiences operators listed on TourHQ.

We stayed at Kamala Beach Estate Hotel Phuket, which was off from their normal pick up route (free routes include hotels in Kata, Karon, Patong, etc.), so we were charged an extra transfer price of 150 THB (around US$5) each for the van pick-up from our hotel.

We arrived at the pier by 9 am, had breakfast and were briefed on the different islands, the trip, and the experiences, safety precautions, etc. We then boarded a speedboat destined for the Phi Phi islands.

Our first stop was at a beautiful island called Mai Ton, a private island, where we observed beautiful coral reefs and were told that on some days we can also see dolphins in the morning!

The next stop was at Maya Bay, the filming location of Leonardo DiCaprio’s hit 2000 movie "The Beach."  This was a beautiful beach and a great photography site!

Next, we cruised past La Sama to Pileh Lagoon, a natural lagoon framed by sheer cliffs. Our kids really enjoyed swimming there in crystal clear water.  Around 45 minutes later, we were asked to get back on board as we then visited Viking Cave where one can snorkel and observe nesting seabirds.

The next stop was a Monkey Beach, another great spot for photography, this time with lots of Monkeys! The kids really enjoyed their new friends here at Monkey Beach!

We were quite tired and hungry by then, so the next stop was at Phi Phi Don for a VIP buffet lunch.

Our last stop was for Bamboo Island. We had the opportunity to spend some free time snorkelling, swimming, and exploring the white sands on Bamboo Island. This was really worth the trip as it was a natural reserved island with clean sands, crystal clear water and was a great time to spend after lunch. This island would certainly be the highlight and worth the entire cost of the trip! We spent around 1 hour there until we were told to onboard again, but that was OK since it was already getting quite late (around 4 pm) and the kids were already quite tired.

The trip back to Phuket pier took around 2 hours with everyone quite tired (great lunch, great swimming, and snorkelling experiences), not only we and our kids, but also other travellers on the trip.

Once we arrived at the Phuket harbour, the vans were ready there to bring us all back safely to our hotels.

This is a must-visit trip should you be travelling to Phuket anytime soon! Thank you TourHQ and Breezy Andaman for organizing this trip for our family
