Every year, more than 600 thousand people are taken to Christ the Redeemer on the centennial Corcovado Railway, the oldest tour of the country. The modernization of the trains was produced in the Swiss Stadler factory, with a double capacity the new trains promise to reduce the trip to the greater symbol of the city and of Brazil, the Christ the Redeemer.
The modernization of the trains takes place in commemoration of the 135 years of the Train of the Corcovado, the two trains come direct of the Swiss factory Stadler the fourth generation of the Train of Corcovado. The station of Cosme Velho is already being structured to receive the new trains that will decrease the trip and 20 to 14 minutes.
