Last year, I did a summit of the Mera mountain peak standing tall at a height of 6,476 m above sea level.

I was the climbing instructor as well as the team leader too. I was guiding two of my Swiss clients who had no experience of climbing. And I was enthralled by the cooperation of my clients throughout the journey. Though they did not have any climbing experience specifically for peak climbing, they did very well during our short expedition using all the instruction correctly and smartly.

Even though you may not need climbing experience to climb the Mera Peak,  it is very much necessary to be fit and healthy in order to make the attempt for the climb. I first climbed the Mera Peak back in 2007 so this made it my third time.  When I reached the top of the peak, I was so much engrossed with the mesmerizing views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Cho-Oyu. It was just simply mind-blowing!

To be honest, my feeling when I reached the top of the Mera peak was being bit of weary and exhausted. But the minute, I took a look around me, I encountered the same feeling that I got when I first opted for the expedition of the Mera peak. Peak climbing can be exhausting and hard but for the view and for the same déjà vu moment, I can do this all over again without a hitch!
