Out side Valley field visit Report

Nathm scheduled 29th August, 2015 for outside field visit for our section “C” but some of friends wanted to visit before the schedule date. So we requested to Mr. Krishna Kharel sir and fixed new date 2 days before the scheduled date that is 27 August, 2015. It was accepted by the Nathm management and fixed it up.

The date was confirmed but we have not yet decided on which budgeting system we choose, because we have two options, one is 13,000 and 11,500 budgeting. We already at more closer on budgeting 13000 submitted by Laxman Dhital but later on Amod Domzone competes with 11,500 budgeting. We chose that 11,500 budget because that the budget of 11,500 was offering the same package as 13,000 offers. Then the 11,500 budget was presented to Mr. Krishna Kharel sir for acknowledgement. Fortunately, it was acknowledged by Mr. Kharel sir, at the movement we were so happy because we are getting the opportunity in cheaper price.

The next day was our inside valley trip to Changu Narayan so we stepped onward to the destination, while having lunch at Changu Narayan Ms. Ang Lami Sherpa arise a question to the tour operator Mr. Amod Domzone about itinerary like what types of food is offering on breakfast, lunch and dinner? He refuge to answer of her question, there were little conflict between these two friends Amod Domzone and Ang Lami Sherpa. This made Ms. Ang Lami Sherpa in offset mood and even then I requested her not to raise any more question because that can make our next day trip hamper. From the same day we started to collect the amount for our outside valley journey. Please note that we have in total 29 students for outside trip. That is our total budget is 333,500 ( Rs In words. Three hundred thirty three thousand and five hundred only.)

Day 1 (27 August, 2015)

We started our journey at around 8:30 in the morning from Mahankalsthan, New Road on 27 August, 2015. On the way at Hamlet Restaurant, Baireni around 11:00 we had a breakfast having toast with butter, jam and jelly along with omelets and potatoes chips and cup of milk tea. It is quite enough for all of us as a perfect breakfast indeed we realized. One of my friends was hurry to contribute mineral water by himself so we bought 2 boxes of mineral water on his behalf and distributed each bottle to all of our friends along with driver and sub-driver too. That movement was so funny and enjoying and having good time while travelling to Chitwan. On our way to Chitwan we had to face little bit obstacle because that day was Chitwan Banda. We have to wait long time about more than 1 and half hours for Scouting. It took 45 minutes to across 6 km the Banda area with Scouting until we reached at Hotel Hermitage, Sauraha, Chitwan. The hotel is so beautiful garden with a various types of plantation and excellent environment with a 7 feet deep swimming pool with panoramic view. Wow! It’s great we all realized. We all were welcomed with a glass of cold drinks in beautiful garden. As a captain I have to say more things but the time limit is controlling my speed of expression, so I hurried to say that I was also accompanying with our honorable sir Dharma Upreti, the Nathm representative personnel was my accommodation sharing partner so we live together with double sharing room. We had a delicious lunch at Hotel Hermitage with a chicken meat to those who are non-veg. However, there were no arrangement for Vegetarians friends along me.

Please note that due to his personal problem Mr. Krishna Bhusal did not come with us on that day. So we have not yet collected his money.

We were given one and half hour rest, but most of our friends were not taking rest but they were busy in swimming pool but I and our Upreti sir were busy with the locals (Tharu community). We gained a lot of knowledge about the Tharu community and their festivals. We also learnt why they use to print in their house with a little foot prints of goddess Laxmi. We also found the Tharu’s local house is so cool as in AC room. They use to make their house with a little bamboo with a dumb pasted. Here I am not able to mention how they actually made their living room so cooler even in hotly summer days. We found Tharu people are so lovely so hospitality, we loved their cultural. I like to salute them once again. Wow! I loved them so much. It’s great. After this we were provided a typical local Tourist Guide to guide Tharu village and we watched Budi Rapti with a keen interest. We went Budi Rapti for sun set watching . We were there for bird watching. We saw various types of birds but don’t know their name. We saw some crocodiles are playing with nature. Also we saw a tiger’s foot print. We watched one horn rhino and elephant. After returning back to hotel we have had a cup of local milk. After these all we all had a delicious dinner with a local fish. We enjoyed a lot. Thank a lot to Hotel Hermitage. We went for bed. Good night.

Day 2 (28 August, 2015)

In the early morning, we go for jungle walking. We across the river by canoeing went for one and half hour jungle walking. We reached at almost the middle of jungle where there we saw wooden house for watching the wild animal secretly. Most of our friends had to face of leech and I myself faced with more than 5 leech sucked me at a time. We all ignored it not because we like to donate our blood but because we have to save our life from the wild animals. We watch Elephant breeding center, Khorsor. Now a days, elephants do not tied from the iron rope. They are freed but controlled by electrical fence. We also watch sculpture of Arna buffalo head. We also watched a lot of birds in the jungle. Also paid interest with how they feed to child elephant. We had lunch with a delicious with fish curry. The day rice is not so good as in previous day. We commented to the manager and excused.

We all were informed for elephant riding. I, the Captain along with other three friends ride Champa Kali elephant. We watch lot of birds, crocodiles, one horn rhino, musk deer, buffaloes etc. It’s very exciting while riding elephant. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see tiger at the time. On this day Mr. Krishna Bhusal also joined with us but we have not yet collected his contribution.

After dinner we all were ready to watch for Tharu cultural dance to Tharu cultural House, Sauraha. We all were picked up by local transport. We watched stick dance, Tharu dance, artificial peacock dance. At last we all were called at the stage to dance. As a captain I went at first to dance about an hour. We all enjoyed a lot . While we were returning to hotel by local transport I met two foreigners. One is black dress with a quite appearance. I said Jojopala, Namaste and good evening. I talked about Nepali cultural with her. They paid a lot of interest on my talking till reached to our hotel. I was called to address for the next day, because we were leaving Chitwan on that days. Some of them wanted to visit Lumbini, some of them don’t want to go to Lumbinit because there were a Band and we had to go with scouting. It is quite unsecure so we don’t want to take a risk , we like to change our destination. Most of all wanted to visit Bandipur and Palpa, but our tour operator refuge to go as per itinerary and he wanted to divert to Kulintar for night stay and visit Gorkha. We all refuge to go to Kulintar but he said he can do nothing. It was quite injustice, quite not tolerable and quite misbehavior and quite misconduct did by the tour operator. One thing was modified that is Dev Ghat which was not mentioned in the Itinerary. Every one paid an interest because that day was Saturday, the day of Janaipurnima. Everyone was interest to wear Janai in Dev Ghat that is why we went at that destination. As per schedule we only leave Chitwan after having breakfast so we requested the hotel to pack our breakfast so that we could have breakfast wherever we want.

Day 3 (29 August, 2015)

We started to move from Chitwan to Dev Ghat early in the morning. The booked Tourist Coach only dropped us at the way to Dev. Ghat. From there we caught local transport to reach Dev Ghat. Some of our friends were not visit Dev Ghat. They did not tell me why. We reached Dev Ghat after half an hour walking crossing suspension bridge. We wash our face and took Janai. Most of our friends cross river by rafting but we were back on foot from the same way. We have had a cub of milk and cell roti. We took that breakfast from having Janai on the way.

We enjoyed a lot there. We had a good time there too.

We hurried to have a lunch so we our bus driver took us to Muglim for lunch at Dipa Restaurant. We ordered for lunch with chicken meat. The cost was fixed with a price of Nrs. 200 per person with meat. Then we hurried to Gorkha, the ancient Gorkha palace. While visiting to Gorkha durbar after climbing up to more than half hacking I felt too tired because it was too hot and sunny day. I took only half breakfast because there we got one less pack breakfast mistakenly by the hotel. I was too hungry and tired. After returning all of our friends from the Gorkha Durbar our bus driver took us to Muglim for lunch. Before ordering to Dipa Restaurant I ask them to present Sticker of grade of hotel. She, the hotel owner refuse to present and we request her to prepare in hygienic way. So we found the meal was so good we do not need to face any problem.

From there our bus driver took us to Kurintar, the River Fun next to across the suspension bridge. After getting there almost all were very puzzled not because of strange place but because we are not getting accommodation. We were not informed that we have to sleep in the tent with double sharing basis. The environment of River Fun was saying that the place is not suitable to Tourist Guide accommodation. All of our friends reject to stay there but Mr. Amod Domzone quarrel with most of the friends along with Deepu Bhadel. She got weep for a long time. Until we got double sharing tent. In Kulintar, We collected the Krishna Bhusal’s money and handed over to Mr. Amod Domzone with hand of Gyanedra Sharma in front of Dharma Upreti sir’s eyewitness.

We organized in River Fun with a Barbeque along with beer and whiskey until midnight. This was our extra contribution. This was not mentioned in the itinerary so we paid it by contributing the cost of barbeque. None of Vegetarians contributed for the barbeque but being I am a captain it is my pleasure to contribute to take them cool from aggression. I also swim a lot in the pool and dance with them till midnight. It was too late for sleep. I said good bye and went for bed. Good night.

Day 4 (30 August, 2015)

On this date we left for Pokhara. We woke up early in the morning and ready to go to Pokhara. We ate toast with jam and jelly along with honey with a cup of tea/ milk. We escaped to Pokhara. We arrived nearly 11:30 at Pokhara and our bus took us to Splendid View Hotel near lake side. Also we informed that our typical local guide Mr. Deepak Bastola sir will set for our visiting places. We have had rest for half an hour and had a delicious lunch at Splendid View Hotel with a double/triple sharing room. There also my accommodation partner was our Dharma Upreti sir. It was at the 3rd floor 304 room no.

On this date we visited to Word Peace Stupa. Our bus driver took away to the near or this stupa named Kalimati, Pokhara. We hiked near 45 minutes to reach to Stupa. It is quite like as Swoyambhu Stupa but it is 1400 meter high from the sea level. We can watch Phewa lake and the Pokhara Valley as well. The beautiful scene is never forgetful it is quite wonderful, it is so great Wow! We had a good time in there. We took more than an hour class on the ground of World peace stupa. We took much more photos. The steps are more than 140 to reach to the top of Stupa. I felt myself as we were in the heaven and we were flying without any hindrance. I forget all the anxieties and sorrow, I really felt myself as a flying bird in the sky. I dive here and there to get as much as happy and peace along with the stupa. My heart was flying in the sky wow! What a great place I ever never had. Thanks to them whoever made this stupa I like to thanks from the bottom of my heart. I really appreciate to them. I weep out with my tears; it is tears of my happiness. Thank you once again. We backed to Hotel Splendid View to have dinner.

Day 5 (31 August, 2015)

On the day early in the morning we went for Davis fall. We watched with keen interest. We also took a photo with statue without head. Ms. Deepu was able to put coin at the right place of the pond. We also bought some gift to our family. Then we walked ahead to Gupteshowr Mahadev. It was just excavated only in 1992. We went through the cave but some of our friends returned from the mid of the cave. We took a class after visiting the cave. Then we visit Tibetan Handicraft center & Community Carpet Showroom. We saw most of the handmade items.

Vindebasini temple where the temple was in renovation. They are going to arrange to protect to the devotee from the rain and hotness. We took a class over there for half an hour. We also watched Radha, Krishna Temple and photos of Annapurna range. While backing to hotel for lunch I got a time with our tour guide teacher Mr. Bastola for gaining more knowledge. I try to get more knowledge as I can and we backed to hotel for lunch.

After lunch We separately visited to Phewa lake. By boat we visited to Barahi temple and enjoyed a lot having numbers of photos right over there. While boating I made a phone call to our respected teacher Mr. Krishna Kharel sir about our trip. I told him that we have had a good time in journey. He was so much glad to hear this news from our side.

On Last day of Pokhara, We visited Sarankot hill for sun set watching as per recommended by our typical tour guide sir Dipak Bastola. Unfortunately, the eve was rainy eve, we were not able to watch sun set but we watch bird’s eye view from the hill in spite of heavy rain with the help of umbrella. We learnt a great lesson about the behaviors’ of tourist. The micro driver told us a real story about the local no 1 tourist guide of Pokhara. He refused to expose his name. According to him the guide was felt in love with American citizen. They agreed to marry. They have had every things, there were no any things left behind between them. As per his sayings, they were in quite true love. After having good time with each other the American citizen returned her home land saying that she was going to offer a surprise to his lover. After a month long back asking so many times she exposed in a telephone conversation about the surprise. The guide guess himself that might be his goodness, happiness and fortune and so and so, but all in vain, his dreams came not in true but it became awful and bad fortune when he hear from lover word. She herself was suffered by HIV Aids. He felt down from the sky. All the dreams came into melted. Uuff! When I asked why they were not using contraceptive? The reply was like so the foreign people never like to have sex with contraceptive, they always refused so that was happened. It was a great lesson behind. We need to be aware of this. Hang god we are still alive.

The micro driver himself felt like this case, but he was able to escape from the incident. He was also happened just 3 days ago we met. According to him, he also felt love with Chinese girl of teen age 16. She told him to book deluxe hotel and offers him to have sexual intercourse. When refuge to have sex without contraceptive she was not happy with him and she forcefully try to get without it he pretend to like a puff of cigarettes. In course of smoking he was able to escape from the incident.

After returning form Sarankot we walked around the Phewa lake and try to watch the night life of Pokhara city. Unfortunately, the eve was heavy rain eve so we had to wait for an hour outside the hotel. At the time our sir Dharma Upreti made a cell call to me. We hurried to hotel and had dinner. The news was that Dhadhing Banda was scheduled on next day so we plan to back to Kathmandu in the mid of night that is 12:00 noon. While coming back to Kathmandu we all were very tired because we have no time to sleep. On the way our pilot stops the bus on petrol pump for fuel. We all went for toilet but one of our friends without informing me went toilet. We noticed only when he made me cell call and found that the friend not his seat. I told driver to back to the previous location where he lost. If we not backed it was impossible to walk 3.5 km. It was a great lesson to him and punishment as well without informing. We arrived at Kathmandu at nearly 6:00 to Ratna Park. We back early to Kathmandu is good from one side but as per itinerary we have not had bread and breakfast and lunch on the way was goaled out from the scheduled itinerary. Before leaving from the bus we collect 100 Nrs from each student gave tips to driver and Khalasi from our side. As a captain and as we are student we performed our duty but the tour operator refuse to perform his duty and not giving yet account clearance and escape from his moral and duty.

Thanking you…

Your’s sincerely,
