Do this at least once in your life - on a full moon night.
Forget expensive cars.
Forget luxury hotels.
Forget champagne on a private jet.
All that is meaningless stuff
.
Go up to Hohsaas (3142 m) or Längfluh (2869 m).
Pay for the heated hut - support the mountain infrastructure - but sleep outside under the open sky.
At that altitude, the stars look different.
Closer. Sharper. Brighter.
And the full moon?
It doesn’t just shine.
The moonlight lit the ice from Allalin, Täschhorn, and Dom right next to you - it’s immersive.
Other famous spots at high altitudes and easily accessible?
Diavolezza and Gornergrat - the mountains are too far away to see the moonlight on them so intensely.
Jungfraujoch and Klein Matterhorn - camping is not allowed.
A similar concept exists in Greenland: you pay for a heated hut on the ice cap, but you can sleep in a traditional Inuit igloo located about 100 meters from the hut - a magical, immersive experience close to nature.
Collect adventures and memories, not things.
It’s not about saving money.
It’s not about being extreme.
It’s about experiencing the Alps in their purest form.
If the weather changes, the hut is right there - warm and safe.
But if the sky is clear, stay outside.
This summer, I’ll organize similar full moon events again - perfect for anyone who wants to try this unforgettable experience.
Take the silence deep into your soul - and bring it back home with you.
