The Langtang Valley trek is popular for those who seek adventure in a short period of time. This trek brings you to the Langtang Valley, just south of the Tibetan border. We begin with a bus ride from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. On reaching Syabrubesi, the trek begins in a lush valley. Nepal's national flower, the rhododendron, will astonish you in the surrounding snow-capped mountains. An abundance of birds and other wildlife such as wild boar and languor monkeys inhabit this area. From Langtang village, the trail continues to Kyanjin Gompa (3,740 m), site of the Yala Cheese Factory. A short distance east of Kyanjin, there is a STOL airstrip. A visit to the Yala Cheese Factory (4.633 m) and the small lakes beyond Yala is worthwhile.

As you move up the Langtang Valley, the Tibetan influence becomes more noticeable. The ascent up Tserko Ri (4,984m), although challenging, offers some of the most spectacular Himalayan views and is considered to be a highlight of the trip. Another option is to take the short walk up Kyanjin Ri, or you can choose to walk further up the valley. The pristine Kyanjin Gompa is set in the midst of the Himalayas with phenomenal views in all directions.
