The beautiful Mumbo Island is located in the middle of the Lake Malawi National Park. On Mumbo Island there is a small island which has beautiful Malawi accommodation that sleeps just fourteen guests in well appointed en suite tents.
The camp is built on an eco-friendly basis with bucket showers and eco loos, and there is no electricity in camp. The camp is built out of timber, thatch and canvas, and has a Robinson Crusoe feel, creating a rustic getaway with beautiful views over the lake. There are many exciting dive sites nearby, and Lake Malawi is known to have some of the best fresh water diving in the world.
There are many fantastic water activitiesavailable such as kayaking, snorkelling and scuba diving. Lake Malawi is known to be one of the best fresh water dive sites in the world, and the lake has abundant beautiful coloured fish called Cichlids, as well as other marine life.
