Kithulgala is also a popular destination for outbound training programs and locals in Sri Lanka. Because this is an area of rolling hills, tropical rain forests and winding rivers, snug in the wet zone with two monsoons each year. Kithulgala is a small village located in the Western Province. Mainly Kithulgala is known as the capital of adventure sports like white water rafting, jungle trekking and bird watching and cave explorations. Kithulgala is more suitable and mostly visited by travellers looking for an action-packed holiday.

White water rafting: As mentioned above, when calling Kithulgala, the first thing that comes to mind is white water rafting. Present, it has become synonymous with the word “White Water Rafting” Kithulgala lies on the Kelani River, which has been covered vastly in Sri Lanka. The Kelani River offers enough spills for experienced paddlers and novices alike. And also, the Kelani River is swishing down through the jungle, tea and rubber plantations. There is a small primaeval forest just off the river, and it’s home to about 54 rare species of birds.
