Hello my name is Ema. I am a tour guide from Medan,and a special guide in the Ketambe (Mount Leuser National park),berastagi,Takengon and Medan area.
Speaking about nature and jungle, Mount Leuser National park in Ketambe is one of the best jungles in Indonesia. The bigger the jungle, larger will be the habitat area for wild animals including orangutans. This species of mammals needs to be kept safe. Not only orangutans but also black gibbons,white handed gibbons,thomas leaf monkey,macaqs,piq and tail monkey,bear,honey bear,tiger,wild goat,elephant,insect,and etc,also flora like as raflesia arnoldi or Bunga Bangkai,and the vast flora found in these jungles.
Orangutan ( Pongo Abelli) in the Ketambe are often found to be wild. They never come to you as they are always up in the tree. So if want to take a picture, come with a good camera.
The need to keep orangutans safe in the jungle or forest are very high. One must know how to make keep and safe orangutans safe in the jungle, especially forest guards etc.
Don't hunt or kill orangutans and other animals in the jungle. Don't ever to do business and try to take and sell orangutans or any other animals. Because this would reduce the population of orangutans and another animals and their numbers will just reduce.
Don't throw out trash in the jungle and also in the rivers because jungles and it's river streams should never be kept dirty.
Don't ever cut trees in the jungles as this can change the climate and make the weather more hot. Trees always cool a place. If possible, during rains, the forests can also be easily flooded. For all animals in a jungle or forest, it will a huge loss of their natural habitats. Such jungles or forests are the only place for them to survive, especially the wild animals.
We must love and keep our forests safe. If humans don't protect and keep our forests safe, then who will? Our life in this world, all the fresh air we breathe etc. comes from our nature. Even our weather and climate changes come from the same source. If it's too hot, it's not very good for humans in the world and vice versa.
