A student of history & a resident of Istanbul – A land Napoleon had quoted as the “Capital of the World”.
After travelling to almost all continents, I can say that Istanbul is a beautiful mix of contemporary & modern world co-existing in harmony. Travelling is my core passion, a means to recreation, where I can cross the borders by foot, live like a local, submerse myself in cultures, food, history or whatever comes my way en-route the exploration of our motherland Earth.
Travelling is a very intimate experience as some travel with friends or families, but I travel to make friends & have new experiences. I am one of the few female tour guides in the travel industry of Istanbul & feel very proud when I see myself standing in a crowd. It wasn’t easy, though but I am thankful to all my guests who showed faith in me & my capabilities and helped to create an example for my female colleagues who are entering this industry.
I strongly feel being a tour guide is of immense responsibility. We all love to travel, to give wings to the explorer inside us, even though many of you get just a few days in the year with your families/friends to create the memories. My insider perspective & the passion for travel helps me understand my responsibilities well as a tour guide & to put out my best efforts in guiding you to the varieties that my beautiful country has to offer.
Lastly, an answer to the most asked question from my guests: "No, I don't get bored or fed up with my job, even though I go to the same places, again and again, every day. Because every day, someone new is touching my life but I have no idea at all who they are, and it is exciting!
