As our country is an agriculture based economy from ancient time. And farmers  in all over the world need three things.

1. Good Manure

2. Power to Till the land

3. Good Nutrition for healthy life

At ancient time when current technologies for farming  were not there what they were using??

They were dependent on animals so :

1. Good Manure:-

> The cow and bull dung(Indian bread)  was considered as best manure and cow urine was considered as best pesticide among all other animals.

>Cow and bull dung was also used with clay to plaster their house and floor and that was protecting their house from insects.

> Dry cow dung was used as fire fuel.

2. Power to till the land

> Among all animals Bull was considered best to plow the land.

>Bull was also used for transport and loading.

3. Good Nutrition for healthy life

> The easy source of nutrition for farmers was milk products. So among all other animal  The Cow milk(Indian bread) has less milk fat and that was keeping farmers healthy .

>By selling milk and milk product they could make some money also.

So among all animals one animal was very beneficial for all farmers so our intelligentsia wanted to protect this animal and than it was declared as holy animal and many mythological stories were also introduced to make people's believe  in Holy cow and made it compulsory that if people will keep cow at home, than you will get blessing of all god and goddess and farmers started becoming healthy and wealthy. But the logic was the quality of cow dung manure was getting them good yield and cow milk products were keeping them healthy.

In Hinduism cow is called mother: This also have logic that cow milk contains same kind of ingredients as Mother's milk. and if  the mother dies after giving birth to child, doctors suggest them to use cow milk. In our culture mother who feed children is called their foster mother and when everyone had cow at their home their children was grown up by using cow milk and this logic made cow as Mother cow.

So all these importance of cow made it a holy animal. I hope this article will help you to understand about the logic of holy cow.
