Ghorepani Ghandrung trek is one of the short easy walking trails of all the Annapurna Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking. It follows a historic trade route towards Tibet as far as Ghorepani - Poon Hill. Here, at (3,193m), is a spectacular panoramic view of the Mt.Dhaulagiri and Annapurna II, South II, Nilgiri, Tukuche, Dhampus peak, Butterfly Mountain Himchuli and all mountain range of Annapurna region.

Descending on a narrow trail through rhododendron forests to Ghandrung (a big Gurung Settlement), the route continues back to Pokhara on a ridge that offers breathtaking views of Machhapuchhare - the Fishtail Mountain. This is also one of the special treks for the bird and nature lovers because most of the walking path is through forests abounding in bird life.

Poon Hill (3210m) - In most of the countries, Poon Hill would be called a mountain, but here in the Himalayas it is certainly a hill. Poon Hill is one of the most famous viewpoints in the world and in Nepal; it is probably the second most famous viewpoints after Kala Patthar for its stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas. There are many options to extend a trip here, and the only limits to the length of the trek are time and imagination. There are lodges all along the route so there is little need to carry a huge pack. The treks are very popular and hence can be very crowded, so in other words, expect a great trip with lots of mountain views, but don’t expect solitude. The trail passes through several interesting villages and different cultures, and the scenery is also very spectacular.
