Beyond the towering buildings and modernity of Makati is a very colourful historical and cultural aspect of the Financial Capital of the Philippines.Once a part of the great kingdom of Lakan Tagkan. One of the most sacred place of the ancient times prior to the convertion of the natives to christianity is right tucked in the barangay area commonly known as EMBOS of Makati City.

The first stone arch of the Philippines can be traced in the non descript area of what was known as the Guadalupe ruins. One of the First church outside of Intramuros is situated majestically in Poblacion, Makati. It was a known secret then that the image of Virgin mary that occupies a very prominent space in the church retablo's has a relic of Virgin mary's locked hair.

A very interesting street play during the spanish period that was once popular in Barrio Culiculi was a sight of colorful performance by the natives. A small ermitage that plays a center role in the life of early chinese who still practiced their own beliefs discreetly fused with christian celebration of patron saints can be discovered right beside pasig river in the area know known as barangat West Rembo. The very stunning web of American tunnels that crisscross the entire strecth of  Bonifacio Global city and Makati City as well as the first international airport of the Philippines comes in contact in what we now called as the Ayala triangle. All this and more can be revisited and interestingly explained by joining my City tour Makati.
