1) Bent Pyramid of Dahshour

This is basically an ancient Egyptian pyramid located at the royal necropolis of Dahshur. It is about 40 kms south of Cairo, and was built under the Old Kingdom Pharaoh Sneferu (c. 2600 BC).  This unique pyramid rises from the desert at a 54-degree inclination. The the top section is built at an angle of 43 degrees, that gives this pyramid it's 'bent' appearance. The Bent Pyramid has two entrances, one one the north side and the other on the west face of the pyramid. But both entrances leads to a chamber wherein there are high, corbelled roofs.

2) Pyramid of Djoser (Step Pyramid)

This is an archaeological remain of historical value in the Saqqara necropolis.  Built in the 27th century BC during the Third Dynasty for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser , one can see six mastabas (of decreasing size) on this pyramid, built atop one another. Infact, this pyramid is also  considered to be one of the earliest large-scale cut stone constructions in this area.

Other nearby attractions worth seeing are the  Imhotep Museum (archaeological museum) and the Tombs of the Nobles (number of royal and nonroyal tombs from the 1st and 2nd dynasty, Old Kingdom and New Kingdom).

3) Great Pyramid of Giza and Shinix

The Sphinx of Giza is mainly a large limestone statue of a reclining sphinx - a creature with the body of a lion and a human head.  This statue is located in the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the River Nile.

Ofcourse, without a visit to the Great Pyramid of Giza, this trip would be incomplete. Known as one of the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex , see this wonderful sight - one of the  Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
