Buddhism in Cambodia. Religion has been rooted for Cambodians. They walk the path of Theravada Buddhism. The monks are very important in religion that tell the advice of the Buddha to the people after his death. Eighty percent of Cambodians are Buddhist religion but it is also combined with Hindousme and Animism. It is not only a religion, but it is the culture of daily life of the Cambodian people. Cambodia is a poor country in the world. Education is not compulsory. The very poor family is impossible to send her children to go to school grounds that they earn very little and the children need to work for food. The very poor Cambodians living in the countryside have sent their children to the temple to become monks for free education and children are also very pleased to become monks because that they can learn and have daily food. They are very young and they work for their goals but they are important people who support religion in the country.
