The Biharamulo Game Reserve is found in Tanzania. It was established in 1959. The Biharamulo Game Reserve coves the size of 1,300 square kilometres and shares the ecosystem with the Burigi National Park.

Location

It is located in Biharamulo District, Kagera Region, not far from Biharamulotown. Lake Victoria lies at the North Eastern corner of the park. 

Accessibility

Road: 

By using four-wheel drive cars. (Rand cruiser is preferred.)

Air: 

The area can be accessible by chartered aircraft.

Climate

Temperature: 

The temperature ranges between 13°C to 41°C depending on the area elevation.

Rainfall: 

Rain seasons is between January to April. This is the wonderful time for birdlife watchers although accessibility through most of the roads becomes impossible because of heavy rains

Attraction

Vegetation: 

In this game reserve, there are attractive Miombo woodland and savannah woodlands that are found in the northern part of the reserve area.

Animals: 

This reserve area has common reedbucks, Steinbucks, hippopotamus, and other mammals like elephants, zebras, sables, roans, antelopes, topis, and red colobus monkeys.

Birds: 

Common birds at this reserve area are Martial eagles, Sacred ibis, Saddles, and Billed stork

Best Time Visit

From June to September, when the area is dry.
