Montenegro is a very small country where in one day, during April, early May and October people can swim in the sea during the day in our beautiful fjord of Kotor, observing mountain peaks of surrounding mountains covered in snow. In fact, you can enjoy the sun and the sea during your morning and jump right from your swimming suit into ski suit on one of the surrounding mountains, where you can get in 1:15-1:30 minutes driving from the coastline.

Montenegro is a country with only 625 000 inhabitants, and you could visit almost all the country in a week time. But even though so small, we still have five national parks, second deepest river canyon in the world - River Tara canyon, one of three remaining rainforests in Europe - Biogradska Gora, and a magnificent bay/ fiord of Kotor, which is part of UNESCO World Heritage.

In our Bay of Kotor, the best attractions that I suggest you pick form my tours and let me show them from a local person perspective are: Perast, a well preserved Venetian baroque town with 300 inhabitants but 22 churches with every house being a palace will blow your mind.

The island of Our Lady of the Rocks, the most visited monument in Montenegro, is a place where people on 21 ft²(2m²) rock, by throwing stones around it built a 32292ft² (3000m²) island. The island's church and a museum are must see if you visit Montenegro with items like an embroidery made by a local woman using her own natural hair.

Risan is only 5-10 min away from Perast, but its history is completely different since it was part of the Ottoman Empire. It is also known as "sunken town" since at the bottom of nowadays sea it used to be the town. There we will see Roman mosaics with a unique presentation in the world of Hypnos, the god of sleep.

Old Town of Kotor is hidden deep into the Bay of Kotor, surrounded by high mountains and fortified by 4. 5 km long walls. It is incredible that during October, from time to time people can swim in the sea, observing mountain peaks covered with snow.

Let me show you the seamen legacy by revealing to you their medieval palaces and Maritime Museum, a beautiful St Tryphon cathedral from IX century, very unusual orthodox churches, and glorious northern town gate and its glorious story.

I will tell you about "slava", related to protectors of each local family, and tell you many secrets that locals know, like what's below Old Town even now! Viewpoints above both Risan and Kotor will blow your mind, especially if you are a photo lover.

To learn more about these places, and to fully understand what they are, come and visit our beautiful country and let me guide you through them.
