1. BANDUNG - the capital city of West Java province
Bandung is the capital of the West Java province in Indonesia and also the country’s third largest city by population. It has a population of over 2.4 million in it's urban area itself. On the other hand, this city has a sprawling built-up metro area that consists of 2 municipalities and 38 districts with a combined population of 6,965,655 inhabitants at the 2010 census. Located 768 metes (2,520 ft) above sea level, approximately 140 kilometres (87 miles) south east of Jakarta, Bandung enjoys cooler temperatures and weather all the year round as compared to most Indonesia cities. This cool city also lies on a river basin surrounded by volcanic mountains that offers beautiful landscape views and scenery. This topography infact acts like a good natural defense system, which was actually the primary reason for the Dutch East Indies government’s plan to move the colony capital from Batavia to Bandung. Bandung is also known as a shoppers paradise with plenty of fashion outlets and shops clustered along Jalan Setiabudi and Jalan Riau in the Dago district.
2. TANGKUPAN PERAHU VOLCANO
Tangkuban Perahu is a volcano, situated about 30 km north of the city of Bandung. This volcano has erupted in the past, mainly in 1826, 1829, 1842, 1846, 1896, 1910, 1926, 1929, 1952, 1957, 1961, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1983 and 2013. A popular tourist attraction, tourists here can hike or ride to the edge of the crater to view the hot water springs and boiling mud up close, and buy eggs cooked on the hot surface. There are also sensors on the slopes of two mountains here that pick up volcanic activity whenever it comes up.
3. SHOPPING CIAMPELAS JEANS STREET
Next, Cihampelas is a name of street in Bandung City. Ofcourse, this name comes with the famous jeans factory outlets that are located here. There are a lot of lot of factory outlets here that make the jeans cloth. Come here for some awesome jeans purchases.
4. CIATER NATURAL HOT SPRINGS
End your tour here at the Ciater hot springs as they are the place to go after a long tiring trip. Some people believe, this water can make your body fresh and is good for rheumatism. But please, when you want to swim, just take off your necklace, rings and any other jewellery first.
