Annapurna Region

Annapurna Region is a popular trekking destination for adventure and nature lovers. With the Annapurna mounting, a short distance from north of Pokhara, trekkers can enjoy the mountain views just within a few days of starting the trek. This region also encompasses the world's deepest gorge (Kali Gandaki) and the highest lake (Tilicho), situated at an altitude of 4,919m. The Annapurna Conservation Area located in this region is home to some of the endangered species such as Musk Deer, Blue Sheep, and many species of bird such as the multi-colored Impeyan, Kokla, Blood pheasant among a multitude of other birds. The conservation area has 100 varieties of orchids and some of the richest temperate rhododendron forest in the world. The different ethnic groups living in this region add another charm to trekking the Annapurna region.
