Description

Enjoy this once in a lifetime experience in Gansbaai. Get to watch the majestic Great White Sharks up close in all its glory. This is where you tick off that box and make your dreams finally come true.

  • Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai expand_more

    • Start the tour after pick-up from your accomodation and meet the Gansbaai tour guide. It may be as early as 04:00 or as late as 09:00 am – it all depends on the tides and the sea conditions.

    • Take a boat ride for about 20 minutes.

    • Anchor the boat and wait for the sharks to arrive.

    • Stay out at sea for 3-4 hours, depending on the sharks and the sea conditions.

    • Six divers wil be put into the cage at a time, and they stay in the cage for approximately 20 – 30 minutes.

    Note: There will be 25 passengers on board – 20 Clients and 5 Crew Members. If you do not wish to go into the cage, have spectacular sightings from the deck.

Know before you go

  • Shark Cage Diving is completely weather and sea-condition dependent.

  • Great White Sharks are endangered and nomadic – sightings cannot be guaranteed.

  • The Atlantic waters around the coast are cold (10 - 18˚C) and the visibility is not always very clear.
