Head over to the Grand Bazaar (closed on Sunday) which is one of the oldest and largest closed markets in the world. In this maze of galleries, buy handmade carpets, leather products, jewellery, textiles, pottery, antiques, etc. at bargained rates.

Come upon the Old Book Bazaar, an appealing courtyard, see and purchase old books and engravings. Other items are also for sale here: postcards, rosary, stamps, coins, etc.

Have a pleasant tea break in a traditional place and drink Turkish tea or coffee with a snack.

Stop by the Spice Bazaar which is Istanbul's second-largest covered market, dating back to 1660. Under its 88 vaults, many products are being sold: souvenirs, sweets, food, lamps, pottery, etc.
