This 10-day tour gives you a chance to explore the imperial cities of Morocco and learn about their history and culture. With optional activities and excursions, you will also get a peek into the desert life. Visit Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Meknes & Fes, Azrou, Midelt, Errachidia, Merzouga, Ouarzazate, Ait Benhaddou Kasbah and conclude your trip with a leisurely stay at Marrakech.

    Upon arrival at Casablanca Airport, you will be met with our guide and transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is for leisure.

    After breakfast, we will visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque that houses the tallest minaret and is the third-largest mosque in the world. We then head towards the blue city Chefchaoun. En-route, we will make a stop to explore the official capital of Morocco, Rabat, and visit the

    • Explore the blue city with its narrow alleyways, locate the spring called Ras-Elma, and have a panoramic view of the whole city. 
    • Visit the Chefchaouen medina that has a Spanish-style square surrounded by funky arts and crafts stores and beautiful roof-top restaurants and cafes.
  • Travel from Chefchaouen to Volubilis, Meknes & Fes expand_more
    • After breakfast, make your way through the Rif Mountains towards Volubilis, crossing Wazzan and other Rif villages. 
    • In Volubilis, visit the Roman ruins and learn about the archaeological site and its Roman history. 
    • Continue to Meknes, a city with a 17th-century heritage.
    • Stop here for lunch and see the historical walls of the Medina and Bab el Mansour. 
    • Drive to Fes city for an overnight stay

    Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and its medina is a cacophony of aromas, sights and sounds!

    • Morning, we take a guided tour of Fes el Bali - the old walled city. This fascinating medina is a veritable rabbit warren of 9400 alleys that often finish with dead ends – so be sure to stay close to the group! 
    • Visit the dye-pits and tanneries before lunch in the medina. 
    • The remainder of the day is at leisure. 
    • Option for a classic dinner and live Moroccan entertainment; including traditional music, belly dancing and magicians.
  • Proceed to Azrou, Midelt, Errachidia, & Merzougaexpand_more
    • After breakfast, travel towards Ifran - a beautiful mountain village, referred to as "the Switzerland of Morocco". 
    • Continue the journey to Midelt and experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. 
    • Stop at Azrou - a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest that is the largest in Morocco. We can also sight Barbary apes. 
    • Travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud through the fascinating Tizi Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge. Notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. Have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. 
    • Travel along the Ziz Valley and stop for the panoramic views along the way to Erfoud. 
    • Arrive at Merzouga in the afternoon. 
    • Take a camel ride to spend the night at the desert camp with Berber music after dinner.
  • Travel from Merzouga to Todra Gorgeexpand_more
    • After breakfast in the Dunes, we leave the desert. 
    • Stop along the way to visit ancient irrigation wells that are an intricate network of underground canals running from the Atlas to the Sahara. More than 300km, and dating back to the 14th century. 
    • Move on to stunning Todra Gorge and have lunch at our hotel that is set amongst the Palmeries and hemmed in by 300M high cliffs. 
    • Explore the gorge after lunch or go for some optional rock climbing. 
    • Visit Tizgui, one of the old villages of Todra and stop by a local carpet cooperative to learn how to make Moroccan tea and Berber rugs.
  • Stroll through Roses Valley, Ouarzazate & Ait Benhaddou Kasbahexpand_more
    • Have a leisurely departure from Todra this morning as we make our way to Ait Benhaddou. 
    • Also known as the road of a thousand Kasbahs, we make a stop at Kasbah Amridil.
    • Arrive at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in time for lunch. 
    • Afternoon, we take a guided tour of Ait Benhaddou, a traditional pre-Saharan habitat of an earthen walled dwelling fortified by surrounding walls and guarded by 4 corner towers. 
    • Evening, enjoy dinner 
  • Reach Marrakech for Sightseeingexpand_more
    • Traverse the High Atlas, enjoying stunning views en-route to Marrakech. We stop at the Koutoubia Tower, a landmark sister to the Tower of Hassan in Rabat and the Giralda Tower in Seville.
    • Visit Bahia Palace, one of the stunning 19th-century palaces of Morocco. 
    • Explore the UNESCO-listed medina & Jemaa el-Fnaa, an extraordinary gathering and market place. 
    • Dedicate rest of the tour in a shopping spree for souvenirs and relax by the pool before meeting for the last group evening meal. 
    • Overnight at Marrakech.
